Release

When we began working on InSSIDer the goal was always to use it to improve Chanalyzer. After we completed Chanalyzer 3.0 we began working on the integration of InSSIDer with Chanalyzer and are proud to announce the first public release of Chanalyzer that displays Wi-Fi network information.

Chanalyzer 3.0 Beta 5 has been released! If you are still using Chanalyzer 2.1 we strongly encourage you to give this beta try. You can keep Chanalyzer 2.1 installed in case you want to continue to use it as well. Chanalyzer 3.0 adds a sidebar with lots of useful features like device signatures, recording notes, recording cropping, and a data inspector.

This is a 2.1.x maintenance release. It fixes bugs with the preferences file, and re-enables support for WiFi channel 14.

We've added channel reports to provide more information about Wi-Fi and Zigbee channels. A channel "grade" is also given, which is an indicator of how quiet the channel is. The channel with the highest grade should be the best channel to install a new network on (given a long enough data sample).

This is the final planned 2.1.x maintenance release. This version makes better use of screen real estate by clipping the views at -30dBm unless stronger signals are present. It also adds an error reporting mechanism and fixes some minor spectral view issues.
