Wi-Fi (Channel 11) vs Microwave

A large file is being downloaded from the Internet on channel 11. After about 20 seconds the microwave is turned on for one minute. While the microwave is on the download stalls. After the microwave stops the download remains stalled for about 20 seconds before picking back up again. Contrast this with what happens to the download when the Wi-Fi network is moved to channel 1, which is on the edge of the microwave interference.
