I'm running Chanalyzer, but I still don't know what I'm seeing!?
The quick and easy guide to using Chanalyzer.
- Start Chanalyzer.
- Leave running for 5 minutes with minimal WiFi activity.
Access Points (Low Activity)
- Start a large download, to visualize what the access point looks like with high usage.

- Now that you know what your activity looks like, time to identify everything else!
- Turn on any cordless phones, or microwaves nearby. Watch the activity appear on the Topographic view and Spectral View. If the recording is long, you may want to shorten the time bar to about 5 minutes.

The key to understanding what you are seeing, is that each device
Signaturesmakes a special shape in the Topographic View. You can tinker with the signatures to get a general feel for what might be in your spectrum.
Also use the play bar to scroll to specific points in the Spectral View. Here is some time frame tips to guide you in discovering the points where interference occurred.
