Stuck on Collecting Data

Chanalyzer 3.0 has been working fine for months. Now all it says is Collecting data no matter how long I wait after startup. I have attempted deleting and reinstalling 3.0. I have also tried 3.1.
Just to wrap this up. The solution suggested did not work. For a number of reasons I ended up reloading the OS. That of course took care of the problem.
This sounds like a hardware failure more than it does a software problem. I am sending you a message to get some more information.

Wen is shipping out a replacement unit.
I installed the replacement unit. The problem is still there. I moved the Wi-Spy device to a different computer. It works fine there. I have attempted uninstalling and reinstalling Chanalyzer on the original computer to no effect. Any ideas? Keep in mind that Chanalyzer has been running nonstop since I received it several months ago. This computer has also had Chanalyzer 2, 3, and 3.1 beta installed on it.
There is one thing we can try, and it involves making windows think it is the first time it has ever seen the device.
1) from the Start Menu...RUN...regedit.
5) Reboot (not strictly necessary, but it can't hurt)
6) Plug in the Wi-Spy and let it install itself again.
